Roll up the sleeves, put up the hair and get messy......

.........with lots of embossing powders and glitter fun! I recently had this beautiful gift bag and the gift that went inside it was a very soft, delicate blouse that I gave to my sweet mom.  It was really pretty...both the blouse and the bag - don't think the picture does it justice....but here it is:

I was soooo inspired by the gentle softness of it all, ALL the little details of the 'embossed' like florals on the vellum bag, the glittered heart, the lace on the blouse, the little bits of rounded trim around the neckline, and the white silky ribbon.

So with all this inspiration,  you know I just had to make a card from it........and here is my version:

LOVE YOU always have always will

The only thing I couldn't really match exactly was the hue of the pink, the blouse is more of a pale/mauve pink...but you know what I was going for.....I got out my vellum and embossed on it a favorite Hero Arts Flourish stamp in white embossing powder.

I used a dry embossing plate from Anna Griffin for the background of the pink cardstock.  The glittered heart tapes are from Heidi Swapp.

And thought I'd add in one other color - gold.  The heart and sentiment stamps from Avery Elle was embossed in shining gold powder.  And lastly, I had to over-do it with the ribbon, ofcourse. ;)

Hope you're all having a fabulous week so far!

Well....hello love....

Hi!  I've been anxious to get back to a regular crafting schedule since the holidays have been over but just haven't had too much time on my hands.  Have been doing so many non-crafty things. So happy to dig into some of my current supplies and get moving today - I guess this would be my first card of 2015:

hello love

And since Valentine's is coming up, who can resist delicate things like hearts, pinks, reds, and lots of frilly goodness? ;) I certainly can't!  It's so fun for the kids, too!!

I had a lot of those really cute mini envelopes from the craft store that I wanted to use up.  They are actually part of a baby collection with insertable note cards. They are so darling and I thought they would make for some fun layering on this design.

I gave the white cardstock a subtle look with the floral embossing from a Anna Griffin embossing folder.  The rest was just simply layering of elements as I saw fit. Came together pretty quickly and I am happy with it.

Hope you're all enjoying the sneaks at CHA right now.  So fun to see all the exciting new products that are coming out!! And if you are attending the show in California, enjoy!! We love to see all the updates!
