Well, Goodmorning! Hope everyone is doing well! I was in the mood for something a bit pink today, but to not have this card overwhelmingly pink, I balanced it out with some gentle blues and a touch of yellow:

Makes me happy with all the spring time colors!! :)) This could be a Mother's Day card or just a "Hello" card for a special friend! Hope you enjoy! Have to run some errands soon! Monday's are always my busiest day of the week! Have a good week!

Hello LOVE

I'm fortunate enough to have one of my nieces, Chris' older cousin, give me her permission to scrap some of her photos. I've been scrapping her photos for a long time now!  Not only is she a beauty to work with but is an extremely intelligent human being.  I'm so happy when I can sit down, envision, and create something around her happy smile:

My photo is always the centerpiece and I work around those colors so that the entire layout matches colors evenly. Lots of little knick knacks here and there. I love using little pocket holders to reveal some of the journaling while keeping part of it hidden, makes it fun to pull out and read it down the road.

A little bit of lace trim, doilies, flowers, and sequins finishes off the soft, feminine look I was going for.  Hope you all have a wonderful start to your week!  Can't believe it's almost April??!!

Right now...this is...Insta love

Happy, late, Friday evening! I'm up late today finishing up some work on the computer! Wow, I've had such a busy past few weeks....some oral surgery done, a bit of back pain...and yes, I had back pain during my oral procedure, it was should have seen me...good stuff. ;) Birthdays, school stuff, doing taxes, and family - were among some other things that have been keeping me have you all been? I did manage to stay sane from most of it and still was able to whip up some cards and this fun layout:

Right now...this is...insta love

This layout was intended to be super fun, very light-hearted, and to capture the spirit of randomness and spontaneity. Do you love insta photos? And do you have an Instagram account?? It has been such the rage for a long time now, and I must admit, I jumped on the Instagram wagon a little later than most people but through the help and skillful enabling of some of my friends, they got me hooked - love the ease of sharing my photos, my everyday, the simple aspect of all the little things that comprise my day from food, to snapshots of my child, to fun activities, friendships, and everything in-between.

Here's a close-up of the journaling:

Right now...this is...insta love2

Some folks have asked the question about how I utilize florals on a 'boy' layout.  I actually do incorporate flowers on both girl and boy layouts, but on boy layouts, I do keep it to a minimum.  At younger ages up to a certain point, I think it still works really well in capturing their playfulness and youth....

Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!

A Mothers love for her child.... the deepest LOVE that will ever exist....wouldn't you say that this quote is true?  I've been working on this page this weekend and finally finished up late tonight:

A Mothers Love....

This layout is a re-vamp, more modern version of an older one I made with the same photo. A lot of little embellishments and layering, and a little water splash at the top, right there.  I must say I'm loving 8" x 11" more and more each day and I may never go back to the 12" x 12". :) A simpler format makes it easier and I find that when I purposely choose very short and precise journaling that captures the photo, this size works really well for me.

Have a great night everyone, hope you all are enjoying the Oscars!

Just thinking about you

Hello, everyone! Happy, late Saturday evening.....I did a little bit of watercoloring/sponging today with a floral stencil. There was some slight smudging here and there, think my hands were a little shaky today (I blame it on the rain outside) ;)...... but, overall, I still like the springy colors that resulted from it so decided to post this card anyway:

I'll have to go back and change it a little later. The stencil is from this set called Stencils MPD Rose Builder from My Favorite Things. It's a mix-ables set and so versatile, can't wait to play more with it!  The sentiment is from Cas-ual Fridays Stamps.  And can you believe it's March already?! Have a great week ahead!
