May your home be filled with the joys of the season

Playing with some more dies today....One of my first holiday cards of the season...I really hope to make more and actually send some out this year. I've failed to do holiday cards in the past years.  This one I kept really simple.  It is a large Snowflake die from Hero Arts:

may your home be filled with the joys of the season

I used two, deep blue inks for the snowflake and sponged the outer edges with a darker pink ink. Added a few pearls, a patterned paper and my sentiment.  I was going to do a fancier looking sentiment but decided to keep this really simple.

Wishing you a beautiful week ahead!

Supplies:
Snowflake die: Hero Arts/DI064.
Cardstock: Doodlebug Designs.
Patterned Paper: Studio Calico.
Pearls: Doodlebug Designs.
Sentiment: Hero Arts.
Inks: Tim Holtz and Versafine Onyx Black.

Amazing....you are...

Happy Friday, everyone! I'm a huge fan of butterflies! Butterfly anything really, as that is my 'nickname' that my mom gave me when I was little, so it's no surprise the love for butterflies will continue to be with me forever......here's a fun card I made using a butterfly die:

Amazing....you are...

The die is this one from Hero Arts. I distressed it with three different distress inks to include orange, red, and yellow.

On the inside, I stamped the words, 'you are....'  That's it for my week.  I have to get started on C's Halloween costume now. ;)) Hope you are all ready for Halloween this year!

hello there, handsome

I make so many girly cards, that I forget how nice it is to make a manly card every now and then, a card that a guy might appreciate.  The colors on here reflect the autumn season that we seem to have come upon recently:

Hello there, handsome

I had some new chalk inks that I really wanted to use and the color on this leaf stamp is my new favorite brown, yummy! It shows up kind of red on this card, but it's actually a deep, rustic brown. Don't you love new and fresh inks?!

Enjoy!

Supplies:
Stamp: Hero Arts.
Cardstock, buttons: American Crafts.
Ink: SEI/Cayenne.
Sentiment: Elle's Studio.
Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee.

Follow your bliss....

When I need a really dainty card with soft, pink colors I normally reach for this sweet, flower stamp by Jane's Doodles.   I blended three different copic markers to achieve the 'pink' that I desired:

Follow your bliss

I also dug out my embossing folder today to play with.  The leaves are chipboard shapes that were originally Christmas hollies, so I trimmed them into leaves, they are from LYB.

Supplies:
Patterned Papers: Pebbles.
Embossing folder: Cuttlebug.
Die cutter: Cuttlebug.
Floral stamp: Jane's Doodles/Pretty Peonies.
White flower.
Pearls: K & Company.
Corner rounder: EK Success.
Sentiment Sticker: An old Making Memories set.

Sweetheart - Happy World Card Making Day!

Hello there! Well, I didn't think I would be able to make a card for WCMD! But I was happy to be able to sit down and put together a vintage design tonight:

Sweetheart

I'm really trying to be a little more random and free spirited with my designs, whether it be stamping, die cutting, or just collaging together some of my favorite pieces.....one thing I'll never tire of is the use of doilies and for this card, I layered two doilies for a thicker look, folded them almost in half, and clipped them together with a wooden clip.  All pp's for the butterflies, background, and leaves were used with one paper set, so convenient! ;)

Hope you were all able to get crafty today.

Supplies:
Patterned Papers: Pink Paislee/London Market.
Butterfly Punch: Martha Stewart.
Rose Leaf Medium punch: Martha Stewart.
Green flower: Prima.
Doilies: Wilton.
White Cardstock: Paper Source.
