A dear friend of mine sent me some lovelies in the mail, a fun Spellbinders die and a new Hero Arts stamp set that I didn't have yet:

The Hero Arts/BG stamp set is called Garden Frames.  The frame was so elegant that I decided to make this card feminine in yellow and soft pink.

I added a double ribbon, used my copics to color in the small flowers on the frame.  Finished it off with some gems and cut partially the butterfly die in the corner. Can't wait to use the other frame in this same set.

Have a wonderful Friday!

Doodlebug Invite

This birthday party invite was very fun to's one of those projects that never took off or made it anywhere though....never even had the party either.....

Birthday Invite

As fun as it was to make, it was very time consuming to mass produce......maybe 10 would have been ok....but if you wanted to make 20 or more of these, it would have taken some time.  And I ran out of supplies. All the stickers are from Doodlebug Designs.

The flags, I made myself by simply taking my favorite patterned papers and trimming them into a triangle shape.  After that, adhere to toothpicks.  So simple.

I thought I'd show it anyways, and I hope it provides inspiration for you if you need some fun ideas to use up your DD products!

JOY holiday tag

Is it too early for Christmas projects?  You might be thinking in this heat, yes....I know a lot of us crafters get a head start on our holiday projects with Christmas in July.  Here's a fun Santa tag:

Joy Gift tag

Tags are my favorite to make!  He's a cute 'chubby' Santa, lots of layering on here with pp's, chipboards, stickers.  Most of the elements are from October Afternoon, and the gems are from Doodlebug.

Are you ready for x-mas - just 4 months away if you think about it, yikes!  Have a good one, everybody!

What curls?

There are no rules to scrap booking.  I love to add lots and lots of flowers to my layouts, even for a boy, I think as long as the boy is relatively young.  I may not use so many flowers as he gets older.  This LO is a funny story about his hair when he was much younger:

what curls JAN

Up until he was about 3, approx. around there, so hard to remember, but he was known for lots of curls right on the top center of his head....and no where one would have ever believed he had curly hair as he got older as the curls disappeared and his hair was perfectly straight.  It is so funny to look back as I remember his hair was COMPLETELY out of control, we really didn't know what to do with it at times.

I did not have a 'thought' bubble for the title, so instead I used a 'cloud' sticker and the button stickers were the little circles leading to his head.

Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!

Thanks a bunch

I made a whole bunch of flowery thank you cards, really CAS, two feminine ones for 2 of Chris' swim instructors, and I need to make a manly one for one guy instructor, anyways, here is the flowery one:

thanks a bunch blue

The flower is from an older Hero Arts set.  Love getting out those older stamps!!  And the pretty butterfly die was sent to me from sweet Lin.

That's it for me.  My summer ends in 2 1/2 weeks.

A little birdie told me...

....that I was having a HUGE give-a-way on my blog soon!  Right, did you hear? I tweeted about it just recently too, SO watch out for it, it could be any day now:

A little birdie told me

That sentiment came from one of my very first Hero Arts stamp sets.....a long time ago, it was from one of those sparkly clear 2 x 3 sets.....and those little puffy stickers are the best! Aren't they cute?

Stay tuned...until then....have a great week!

I've used this pretty Camellia digital image from Tiffany Doodles before, just in various designs and colors, this one, the flower is in pink:

The patterned papers were my all time favorites from Pink Paislee......Butterfly Garden!  I hoarded and used this collection for a while! Sometimes I really MISS using older products that are so pretty, hard to find them too as time goes by.

The sentiment stamp is from Penny Black...altered a bit.  There are more words on the original stamp but I masked the words I didn't want and only used the two words only,  'Thank You'.

Hope you are having a wonderful day!

BOO! Can you believe it's almost here?

Halloween......I must be crazy to think about Halloween in this heat that we are having right now....but believe it or not, Halloween is only 2 months away, scary hah? Thought we just had it!  I have a little one who has already said he wants to be THE amazing Spiderman!  Did you catch peeks of all the Halloween goodies at CHA?  Here is a fun one that I made using an older pad of Authentique papers:

The fun witch is from Bella Blvd. and the journaling piece and sentiment sticker is from American Crafts. I am definitely still enjoying my summer break, but before you know it, all them goblins will be out soon.....BOO!!

Me? Oh no, not me....just the card...this card embraces products from three of my favorite companies, older stamps from Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts, and Lizzie Anne Designs:
Girl and a Boy Congrats

The moon was cut out from my Spellbinders circle die with my C-Bug.  And the 'star' is a small punch.  It is a little hard to figure out the theme of this card....I was going for a twin set...a girl and a boy? Ha, don't know if someone would have understood it though if I didn't explain?  Anyways, super fun card and I thought the 'month' patterned paper was perfect for the background.

Colored in the cute little owls with my copic markers.

Have a great week!
