Butterfly background

A sweet little card for me today. I made this one months ago.  I've used this flower before and I like to take Tombo markers and color directly on the flower stamp:

thinking of you butterflies background

The two sets of stamps used on this card are HERE and HERE.  The butterflies were stamped with JB ink and that baby pink CS is my fave!  From Bazzill Basics....so hard for me to find a pink cardstock that I like.

That's it for me today, hope you are enjoying your week!

Hey, Chick-a-dee!

Have you been seeing signs of Spring popping up all over the internet? I certainly have, and it's making me so happy to see fun, pastel colors everywhere.  Here's a Springy card showcasing our next biggest holiday...Easter:

Yellow chickadee

I sent this in for pubs but it was not picked up.  Once again, I tried to maximize the use of my punches to create little objects out of the shapes.  For the body of the chick, I used a medium and small circle punch.

The egg shell is an oval nestie cut in half and embossed with the Cuttlebug Polka Dots embossing folder.  The fun papers are Making Memories Dilly Dally.

The sentiment is Hero Arts and there are some other fun accents on the card.  I love Spring time and Easter, one of my favorite holidays where little girls get to wear pretty dresses and all the Easter baskets are just too cute!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink and Bazzill.
Sentiment: Hero Arts.
Clay flowers: Webster's Pages.
Buttons: My Mind's Eye.
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black.
Yellow Pearl: Hero Arts.
Black Copic Marker.
Patterned Papers: Making Memories.
Die cutting tool: Cuttlebug.
Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug Polka Dots.
Ribbon: Martha Stewart.
Oval Die: Spellbinders Nestabilities.
Round corner punch and circle punch: Fiskars and EK Success.

Best Wishes

I think citrus orange was my favorite color in 2011, and I still love it a lot!  I colored in these flowers with a light creamy orange marker:

What's my new favorite color for 2012, oh, I don't know, how about buttery yellow?  Mmmm!

Enjoy the card!

Lace Butterflies

I thought it would be fun to make a Valentine's card that doesn't have any red on it and no hearts at all, instead, I used butterflies and lace:

heart lacey butterflies

And a tiny little felt flower......It's been so busy around here, and I'm hoping to just relax this weekend....lol! I laugh because I know that won't happen! ;)

Enjoy!
See you!

Lavender Sympathy

Woot! Today is a furlough day for us, so no school! Just relaxing this morning then we'll head out later.  But before I go - just wanted to share a card I made a long time ago, don't think I've blogged this one yet:

With Sympathy lavender

I love all shades of lavender, so I stuck with that theme for the entire card.  Kind of hard to see, but I stamped a background stamp onto the embossed panel.  It's very subtle.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Ribbon: PTI - Plum Pudding.
