Bird Collage

Wow! I can't believe that this is my last card for 2010! Amazing how fast this year has passed us by. Thought I'd end it with a card packed with color, something I'm sure we all love is lots of color:

Bird Collage

This card uses the stamp Bird Collage. I decided to stamp it black and leave it as is and work on a collage surrounding the image. I made it a funky looking shaped card.

So how do I want to remember ending the year? Well, let's see.....I'd like to think that this year, crafting wise, I've ventured out and learned different techniques...and....I like many different looks as well.....I like my designs to be perky, fun, cute....I like distressing, CAS, paper piecing, coloring.....I like simple and normal sized cards....I like shaped cards. I like BIG, and I like mini.

I like bold....I like delicate and pretty, too.

I like romantic, I like elegant..........I like shabby and vintage, and perhaps once-in-a-while, a little gothic and dramatic.

So in all, I hope to incorporate all of these styles and many more for 2011!

Wishing you the best and lots of happy crafting in the New Year!

Popping Pastels

I was going to play with another set today, but I looked at the same stamp I worked with yesterday, and just couldn't resist, I think it IS my new favorite background stamp:

Pear and Angel Pink Pastels

Angel Pink Pastel

I decided to ink it up again, and this time in Memento's Angel Pink and Pear Tart colors. Same card design just using different matching colors for each.

Pear Tart Pastel

And my inspiration for these colors come from these yummy cupcake colors that I recently bought:

Delicate vs. Spunky & Fun

I made two very different cards last night....one is a bit gentle:

Many Thanks

It uses this stamp called Large Flower Pattern. I can see myself inking this one up a lot and in so many pretty colors! I kind of like seeing the white on the flower.

....and this one is just plain ol' fun and girly! Wouldn't this be great for a teen? It is this stamp called You Rock:

This little guy makes me happy...

....isn't he cute?

Sleeping Fox

Still playing with some new, yummy stamps...this one is called Sleeping Fox. He looks really peaceful!

Pink and green blossoms

I'm so grateful to have a little down time this holiday season...the presents are tucked under the tree and I have no pressing agendas for now, so I can sit back and enjoy a little and I will really enjoy all the kiddies opening their presents...so fun to watch them! Here's my 2nd card for today:

Blossom Art2

I normally love to color in flowers, but for this card, I decided to emboss with white powder and color in with Spun Sugar and Shabby Shutters, I love the white outline that the powder gives on the flowers. These flowers come from this set called Blossom Art. I want to try this with a light blue distressing ink too, think that would be pretty!

Flower Corsage

I used the new Flower Corsage from Hero Arts on this card, such a pretty floral bunch! I stamped, colored, and trimmed it out:

Flower Corsage

The background is stamped with the Classic Fabric Design in Iris Chalk Ink. And one of my newest favorite sentiments set has to be this one called Made With Love! I adore how whimsical the fonts are, it's just too cute!

Added some glossy accents, gems, and rounded the corners to complete the look. Pretty straightforward design, hope you enjoy!

Give me Spring!

I've finished my x-mas shopping and I think I'm done with making holiday projects...so I'm eagerly wanting to make pretty flower cards and anything fun and colorful, just getting ready for Spring time, I know, crazy, hah? Winter is not really my favorite season...weather wise. So anyhow, I've had these really fun and bright, whimsical looking pp's for a while now and wanted to use them up:

happy bicycle

I paired them up with the fun Bicycle stamp and a sentiment from Hero Arts. There's just something about a cute row of houses, trees, some squiggly lines, tiny hearts, scallops, fun pink colors, and a bike ride that makes me happy! And it makes the yearning for warmer weather a lot easier! ;) Hope it puts a smile on your face!

A Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp...

My sweet Flickr friend Marilyn sent me a beautiful package of lovelies a while back, and in it, she gave me some beautiful Kimmie images....I've never worked with a Kimmie image before so I thought her look would fit really well with the Basic Grey Curio Collection:

Posy

A little gothic and old-fashioned charm - rustic...but with its own personality........is how I would describe these images....had so much fun getting out my copics, it's been a while since I've colored, hah?

Her name is Posy, by the way!

And not only did Marilyn send me goodies but she sent my little C a card too and images for him to color in, isn't she so sweet?! Love having and knowing so many thoughtful crafting friends from all over the world to take time out to do such nice things.

I'm truly grateful for everyone's kindness!

Hope your weekend is off to a fabulous start! Christmas is just days away and the little tiger keeps telling me that I got him this, and this....and that......really? It's funny how he 'thinks' he knows what I bought....either that or he must be seeing thru the wrapping paper! ;)

It's in the ribbon......

Hello fellow crafters! I have not been making cards lately, but I have been busy wrapping x-mas gifts and spending a bit more time with decorating the outside of a box instead of a card:

xmas wrapwebsters2

My fav thing to do is to take the same embellies that I love using on cards and incorporate them into these ribbons, here is another one:

xmas wrapwebsters1

Chris and I have also been making some silly felt penguins and felt reindeers for the tree too:

felt penguin

And, yay, I've officially taken a photo of the full tree, just a small simple one, we love it, I think this year is lots of penguins as the theme:

My boy turned 6...and hubby is home.

Hi all. I'm finally hopping back on-line tonight. Hope you are all well! A BIG, BIG thank you to all the emails and comments from everyone!! I so appreciate the thoughtful concerns! My DH was released from the hospital with Type 1 Diabetes. A life changing event that will require constant care/monitoring and daily meds.

During this period, my little guy turned 6 and I only had time for a tiny little cake for him, but he loved it! His aunts both gave him super cool gifts and he enjoyed his day! Little C asked where his dad was every day, such a sweet kid! He is too young to understand why daddy was in the 'hoppsital', as he pronounced the word.

Today, Friday.....was the first day all 3 of us went out to the store since last week...DH was a little tired so we kept the trip very short. We were able to pick up our X-mas tree and a few accessories, I've only partially decorated the tree, and no presents yet. Chris looks really happy in this photo, he is holding his stocking:

Ctreestocking

I don't have any crafty stuff to show you, hopefully I will be back to crafting soon.

Thank you again to all for your concern and will try to catch up with everyone. I am starting to get into the holiday spirit as we have our tree now, we're just taking it easy over here....
