Sending smiles your way

My little cutesy girl for today.....I'm sending this to a lady whos style is mostly cute and fun:

IMG_9247

So I hope she likes this one...........the girl is from this set called Sending Smiles. I do have such an obsession with these Prima flowers, I have often wondered what would happen if Prima no longer existed in the crafting industry, I'd be terribly upset and disappointed I think! :(

All their happy colors make me swoon! The lavender roses and pink roses are my faves! There is a baby blue rose that is very pretty too!

Enjoy!

Gobble! Gobble!

Hi all! It's been so busy around here, just lots of things going on, and I'm fighting a little bit of a migraine due to our weather this time of the year......me + extreme heat = migraines....boo big time!

Anyways, I did a very simple card today using some new nesties, just had to play with them, me and this love affair I have with nesties:

gobble gobble

I also used some papers called My Little Shoebox, they are very cute! Mostly geared towards children and whimsical themes, but I can see them being used for other projects as well.

The turkey is from this set called So Thankful! I didn't add too much clutter to the card so the focus could be on the little turkey!

Thanks for looking!

Lullaby Lane...

I was in the mood to make a baby card today and this will also be going out to someone sweet who is expecting! Used a lot of soft and gentle colors on this:

Lullaby Lane

Can you tell I'm really getting into some new Webster's Pages? Love those papers....and hey, look....buttons! I hoard buttons and have so many in my stash but if you are a regular visitor to my blog, you'll know that I'm not a big user of buttons......so quite a bit on this card! ;)

Have a wonderful weekend!

No stamping shabby and....a little bit of cute....

I'm back again today just sharing some cards I had made previously but hadn't posted yet. The color scheme for both of these are some pretty blues. This first one has no stamping on it, I just love taking itsy bits of my favorite papers and embellies and seeing what I can come up with:

celebrate LIFE

The words 'celebrate LIFE' is actually a part of the patterned paper. All I did was punch it out and used that as my sentiment.

This 2nd card is also a sweet mix of blues...another cute Anya card, are you tired of seeing my Anya's? I only bought 2 sets that I really liked:

AnyaAM

I'm off to visit and catch up on everyone's blogs!

A Starry Sunset...

Hey all! My sweet friend Kathy sent me this beautiful cling stamp called Starry Night, I initially wanted to go with much cooler, deeper colors, but then settled on using reds and oranges:

Starry Night Togetherness

It reminds me of a pretty autumn sunset....really, any sunset is quite gorgeous no matter what the season....but I've been in love with tangy orange colors all year long.

A few simple embellies and and some glossy accents finish off the look.

Oh, pumpkin!

Today, I worked with these cute little pilgrims:

Pumpkin pilgrims

Aren't they just too cute?! I decided to make my own little pumpkin by using a tall nestie die label and cutting it at the bottom for a flatter look. I stamped the die shape with the Magical Background stamp.

I added fabric leaves and smothered on a lot of glossy accents to make the leaves appear wet. I hand cut the stem and stamped the smaller leaves that you see at the bottom of the pumpkin.

Arranged the tiny little leaves and then added the twigs as well. Really fun project!

Supplies:
Neenah Solar White Cardstock.
Hero Arts - CL466 - So Thankful.

Chocolatey Orange

Ok, a real similar card to the one I made yesterday, just changed it up a bit and instead, used an embossed rose image:

Autumn wishes my friend

I also added some Maya Road Trinket pin sticks - which I totally adore! Love them! And I did some very slight distressing on this one on the nestie and around the edges. I decided to enter this into the HA Everything Autumn themed contest.

Footprints...

I decided to take a break from coloring today and work with a fabulous new paper line and a Simply Single from Lizzie Anne called Footprints:

Footprints

The beautiful vintage papers are from Graphic45, and they are absolutely stunning to see up close! So appropriately so, that I made this vintage/shabby chic card along with the heartfelt sentiment, I thought it paired up well:

Footprints1

To make the funky little ribbon, I made one loop, then placed my thumb at the bottom of the loop, continued with multiple loops until I got the look I wanted...just fun! So many of my favorite little embellies are on this card!

Is this you? Do you feel sometimes maybe you could use an extra pair of hands, I sure could! I love this lady and her multi-tasking - she is sweet and fun! Color me away...

Hi all, I've just been sitting around here lately and doing a lot of fun coloring!

IMG_9100a

I take every minute that I can and find images that require coloring, I sit down and just practice, practice....I've been wanting to try black hair really bad, and also much darker skin tones, so I will give that a shot very soon.

IMG_9103

I would also like to do more hand stitching and making more altered items! I think I've gotten so used to just making cards because they are so quick and easy....that I've forgotten what it's like to sit down and make bigger, longer projects like a mini album!

Little goals for the remainder of my 2010 and into 2011~ ;)

1 step...2 step...3 step...Side step...

I had bought this crafting magazine by mistake thinking it was another mag.... I flipped through the magazine anyway and to my delightful surprise there was this really cute tutorial on how to make a side-stepping card:

Side Step Anya

You can find the template to download HERE! It is a UK Magazine called CardMaking and Papercraft..... and oooh, so sweet, it is packed with lots of yummy goodies and cute card inspirations!

I had never made a side step card so I just had to see if I could make one.

Here is what the card looks like once you've folded it flat for mailing:

And a side view of the folding after some trimming. The template is really easy and shows you exactly where to cut and where to fold....very simple!

I made this card for a friend's sweet daughter.....and her daughter happens to look a lot like this darling Anya:

Princess

At least in my eyes, she is fit to be a princess....I made sure her hair was really light colored as her hair in real life is a very, light blonde.

In the early years

When I first started cardmaking..... some of my first few stamps included this one from Stamping Bella:

It was such a fun line to work with, cute images and so girly, lots of whimsy and always made you smile! So I re-visited my SB collection today and had fun looking through them all! Have been cleaning out some of my older stuff too!

Hope you get to dig out some of your very old stamps and play with them again, great to go down memory lane! Romantic Flourish...

Happy Friday All! Today, I used the exact same stamp as yesterday and instead of directly stamping with colored ink, I decided to emboss it in Blushing Pink Pastel embossing powder....it's very hard to tell it's pink, but I love the color:

Romantic Flourish

It's just this really delicate pink....so yummy! I used the Fabulous Flourish stamp and the sentiment is from this set called Just Find Me.

My initial intention was just a baby blue, pink, and white color scheme but at the last minute, I threw in a pinch of pungent orange:
