It's time to Twirl!

The last day of July, can't believe it!! I was flipping thru one of my favorite scrap booking mags this afternoon and was inspired by a layout by Leslie Lightfoot. I knew I wanted to make my own rendition of her page. If you have the May/June edition of Scrapbooks, Etc., you may see her 'Cherished' Layout on p. 51.

Here is my version:

I am really getting into some fun digi papers from Shabby Princess lately!! Just love their stuff and, although the Twirl Collection is not really a new one, it is still one of my faves to work with!!! So excited to work with the other digi papers they have too!

Here is a closeup of some of the papers and supplies I used from Hero Arts too:

6-Photo Block Challenge

I made this layout way back in early of April this year and have not shown it to you yet, it was for a Scrapbooks, Etc. On Assignment Challenge for the month of October:

Really fun.....the challenge was to use 6 photos and arrange them in the block format that you see above....I rarely ever use that many photos so it was a great challenge for me! And since this was an 'October/Fall/Halloween' Challenge, it was super hard to be in the Halloween mood at the time I made!

Can you believe how fast time flies and companies are already unveiling Halloween products at CHA!!

Here is a close-up of the sentiment that I typed up, you'll have to click to see the larger view:

Simple Delight

A quick and 'no fuss' card to share with you today.....

This card uses a flower from the Bloomin' Doodles set at Lizzie Anne Designs. Enjoy....I have been feeling a little uninspired lately - actually for the past 2-3 days.....I think it's time for me to rest a bit and rejuvenate my mind....

Thanks for visiting!

Tag it!

There's a fun challenge going on over at Hero Arts! Check it out! The challenge is using TAGS on your projects....and here is what I came up with:

Tags can be used in so many ways, I thought it would be fun to use one of HA's metal clear circle tags and enclose a cute little photo in it!

Can you guess who that is when he was really, super small? ;)

Have you joined in and played yet? I have a few more ideas in my head, off to see if they work!

Whimsical Nature

Today's card features more stamping fun from the newly release set called The Great Outdoors:

I wanted this card to be super bright and cheerful and have more of a fun look instead of the typical colors that might be associated with an outdoor/wilderness/camping card! break the rules and use non-traditional colors and elements! I also used a hint of The Great Outdoors Digital Papers for the green landscape.

Enjoy your day!

Let's get started right off with my card....I must say I have to give my hubby due credit for the colors on this I know almost nothing about football, I asked him to give me some colors - his favorite team colors - something really bold for me to work with - and this is what he came up with:

I thought he did pretty well!! Red, white, with blue trim calls for the NY Giants!!! Lol....Does this look like Eli Manning to you? teeheeee....this football player is Lizzie Anne Designs' NEWEST August Single! Go HERE to purchase this cute little guy!

And also, just because the summer release has ended, doesn't mean there isn't more fun stuff happening in the store at LAD.......ALL Spellbinders Nestabilities are 40% off right don't want to miss this one......check out the sale HERE!

Thank you...from the bottom of my little heart!

Hi all! Did you know there is a Hero Arts Blog Hop going on today? Created by my fellow Hero Arts blogging friend Ashley Marcu! You may check out all the details HERE!

Let's get started with my card for the hoppin' fun:

I thought the most perfect way to start saying 'Thank You' to Hero Arts was to, ofcourse, use lots of yummy Hero Arts goodies and incorporate them onto my card.....even threw in a HUGE heart-shaped chipboard from HA as well...teeheee....too cute, I just adore those chipboards.

Added to the fun, is my love for their art flowers, gems, and ofcourse, their I went ahead and used the Asian Doll stamp.....I can't seem to get enough of those adorable dolls!

There were two questions asked in this blog hop and I'll start off by answering the first did I get started in Hero Arts?

Well, long before I joined into their Flickr Photo Sharing Forum......I was already a member of Flickr and simply was using it to store my data and photos as I went along. I would create, photograph, and then upload my projects to Flickr to store only and had no intentions of doing anything other than that.

Life was (and still is) quite busy and I never had time to 'join' groups and comment on other people's work. One day, two very, sweet ladies noticed my work and commented on lady in particular is also one of our very own HA members......Mary Perry (aka: grandmaper)!

She told me that she noticed some of my projects were Hero Arts and that I should submit them to the pool so that I can enter contests and win prizes and have fun meeting people.....I was a little hesitant but I said, what the heck!

So I did, and I think within minutes of uploading a few photos, I RECEIVED AN AMAZING amount of responses....I was in shock really!! So I started to respond back and familiarize myself with the process ......and the rest is pretty much history!! It's been so much fun and non-stop ever since!

So really, you MUST always go back and THANK the first person who got you started in something new - a new journey as I would have called it back then....Thanks to you too Mary! I wouldn't be a part of HA without you!

The second question asked was,"Why are you thankful towards Hero Arts?" I'm thankful because of all the inspiration I see out there from the wonderful group of artists that enjoy doing exactly what I is such a passion as well as it is an art form! I'm also thankful to the abundance of crafting/technical knowledge that I have gained thru Hero Arts' website which is chockful of tutorials, videos, how-to's, and thought provoking challenges each week. So much excitement to be had!

Enjoy the card...and.......from the Heart, Thank you very much!!

So hurry over to the blog or HERE to check out all the of the above sets mentioned!

Up next, did you think I wasn't going to show you anything today? ;) I have made some more projects utilizing the most current digital papers that have been released these past two days and combining them with the Monthly Mix that was introduced last week!

Here are some scraplings that I made using the Cute as A Bug and Bloomin' Doodles Digital Papers.

A close-up, I just love this peach image:

For this next card, now for those of you who know me, you know that in addition to stamping ON paper, I also like to just take the paper itself and turn it into something else, an object or product that I find amusing! In the below photo, I took the Bloomin' Doodles paper and made my own little flower bud and stem.

This next card also features the same digital papers as above and incorporates stamps from the Monthly Mix set as well!

Hope you've enjoyed all of the new releases this summer over at Lizzie Anne! All of these sets featured will be on sale beginning on Saturday - July 25th! It's been great fun! I will be doing continuing samples with these sets in the next 2 months as well!

Have a great day!

Summer Release Sneak Peeks - DAY 1

Hi all! Today is the day!!! So much excitement going is the first day of sneak peeks for Lizzie Anne Designs' Summer Release! I'll be showcasing two of their sets today.

The first set is called 'Cute as A Bug':

And here are four projects I made utilizing this set. The first one I created a little grassy scenery with the adorable image of the snail and caterpillar. I also used some new digital papers in this particular design as well, I will show you that in a bit.

I love how whimsical this critter set is and I knew I had to throw in some type of 'baby' theme! I really thought this set as an entirety would make a totally cute Baby Mobile:

The 3rd card features this pretty butterfly that I could just play with over and over again:

And the last card for this set is a sweet ladybug:

The second set preview is called 'The Great Outdoors':

And with this set comes some yummy, coordinating digital papers:

Here are my two cards that I created for this set:

Enjoy! And don't forget to hop on over to the Lizzie Anne BLOG to leave a comment and an opportunity to win these sets! You can also view more inspirational projects by my fellow team members on the blog as well!

See you tomorrow for DAY 2!

Halloween anyone???

Lately, I've been having this undeniable obsession with the color orange, don't know why but it has sparked an interest with me.....could it be my new color for the remainder of the year? I don't I type, I'm even sitting here eating something orange....a fresh bowl of cantaloupe, yum!

Anyhoo, getting to my project...there's a fun 'Monochromatic' challenge going over at Hero Arts this week...check it out!

And here is my card for the challenge, too much black?? I used 3 shades of orange, a papaya color which is really delicious, deep tangerine, and sherbet. I hand cut the little bats......Had fun with it!!

Join me tomorrow and Thursday as I have many projects to show you featuring brand new stamps and other new goodies that I can't reveal quite just yet....ack!!! Dying's been hard work these past 2-3 weeks with new projects and can't wait to show you! Yeah! Have a good one!

Accessorize your Summer!

I'm back with a few more cards today to show you!

This is a darling little purse/tote bag stamp.....sure wish I had a purse as cute as this image....but, unfortunately, I don'!

What's really neat about the little circular elements on this purse....I found medium sized gems that fit perfectly over it as seen here:

Isn't that great?! Never enough bling usage for me!

Up next, another card from the New Monthly Mix Set that I used from Lizzie Anne Designs:

I used this single butterfly stamp and stamped it four times then arranged the 'family' of butterflies onto fun strips of patterned paper. I also used two different sentiments to make one complete verse.

Some fun glitter on the flowers:

Hope you enjoy...I'm off again....more work to do...hope you are all having a great day!! It's almost Friday, yeah!

Last night, I was inspired by THIS card by Jennifer McGuire.....and here is my version of her card:

I wanted to use a chartreuse, tangerine, and chocolate color combo! How intimidating to do a Jennifer McGuire card....phew! I really do love this leaf stamp set, so versatile!!

Enjoy, I'm off to check out a few things and then I need to make more cards, very busy day! ;)Hope you all have a good one!
