Liberty Florals

Here is a project I just finished up today......can be a very fun decoration for your 4th of July celebration this year.....we've been seeing a lot of stars for the 4th of July....but how about some fun and festive flowers too?!

You can make these little potted flowers for a home decor or could even be great teacher's gifts for the end of the school year by mixing up different themed papers, adding a photo of your child, and a special note.

Here are some more close-ups. The papers used here are DIGI PAPERS from Lizzie Anne Designs.

I used 3 sizes of my flower punch to punch and layer each paper. I embellished with little buttons, a ribbon, and used scallop shears to make a fun border at the rim of each clay pot.
The flowers are then adhered onto thin wooden sticks and pressed through styrofoam placed into the pot.....if you want to use an actual plant to give to someone to grow, you can, ofcourse, subsitute with fresh soil, and use your paper flowers as accents to the entire piece.

Materials used:

Stars and Stripes Digi Papers from Lizzie Anne Designs.

Red Ribbon.

Buttons from Making Memories.

Marvy and Giga Flower punches.

Adhesive tape.

Scallop scissors.

Wooden crafting sticks.
Clay pots.
