It's time to play!

Wow...this sunny and beautiful weather here made me want to make this today:

Signs of sunny skies, colorful flowers, and the sounds of children off from school are the perfect reasons to get out and enjoy, hah?

Paper piecing is one of my favorite things to do with paper...sizing and cutting out different shapes and putting them together to make a larger ensemble is a fun way to make use of scraps and stamping!

I first cut 2 large circles for the front and back of the cards, I then cut a 3rd piece and drew my 'shapes' for the beach ball.

Each shape was then simply traced over my patterned papers. The completed pp was then glued onto the front of the card.

Assorted colors of gems were placed around the rim of the circle with the flip flops. I added a small looped piece of twine at the edge of my sentiment tag to finish off the look!

Have a great day - and hoping this makes you want to head for the beach today!! ;)
